Thanasi Papapostolou is a figurative sculptor with his studio-atelier in Emerson East. His work is steeped in the classical tradition, but is also contemporary and challenging. As a master of the human form, he models the figure in clay by hand—a now rare skill. His sculptures range from table-top pieces to life-size and he works both in-the-round and in relief. Drawing forms an important part of his art practice and he is available to teach classes in both drawing and sculpture.
