Leslie Amsterdam Peterson

Leslie Amsterdam Peterson is a Madison photographer, who focuses on documenting love in action in its many incarnations in the community. Their documentation of the community response to the Act 10 protests in 2011 resulted in the photo essay book “We’re Still Here: Love in the Wisconsin Uprising”. For the last 9 years, they have donated their work to heal the community and help bring awareness to the case of Tony Robinson, an unarmed teenager who was killed by a Madison police officer in 2015. Leslie has called Emerson East home since 2001.
