As a retired Human Resources professional, I didn’t know I needed nor was I actively looking for a creative outlet. Then, on a fall afternoon I was attending a community bazaar. I saw a vendor displaying bird feeders made from thrift store glassware. My first thought was, I can do that and my second thought was, I can expand on that. I liked that I could use glassware that likely would have ended up in a landfill. So with a living room filled with thrift store glassware, Glassy Girl Goods was born. I began making bird feeders, birdbaths and garden/yard ornaments. Some of my pieces tell a story, some represent an aspect of an individual and some just make me happy because of color or the types of glass pieces I was able to incorporate.
