Lisa Hepburn has been a potter for over 25 years. She enjoys making beautiful, functional objects for the home that people want to hold in their hands. Her work is both wheel-thrown and hand-built, sometimes employing both techniques as she loves throwing, coiling and slab-building in equal measure. Most of her silhouettes are gently curved and organic with reference to the clay in its original squishy state. Lisa strives to create contrast that is inviting to both the hand and eye, often pairing an earthy, speckled clay body with a juicy, irresistible glaze.
