Autumn Rose (she/they) is a multi-media artist and creative. While known around town for her work in the live music scene, she is excited to share her visual art with the Madison community. Autumn works within two distinct styles : dreamy acrylic painting on canvas, wood and upcycled materials, and illustrative line-work on paper. As a painter, Autumn is drawn toward bright and emotional color. A painting often bubbles out of a boiling tea-kettle of feeling; the artist alchemizes overwhelming emotions into a tangible, shareable, relatable expression. As an illustrator, Autumn follows no particular structure besides honoring the whim to create as it appears. The result is odd, sweet and gothic portraits of the plants, animals, people and dreams she encounters. Autumn is based in Madison, WI.
